Panoramic X-ray devices are available in our outpatient clinics.
Panoramic x-ray devices enable us to pin-point formation causing discomfort in the mouth such as cysts, tumors, caries, etc.
Panoramic X-ray devices allow for the rapid and accurate diagnosis and treatment of the oral and dental diseases of our patients.
DIGITAL PERIAPICAL X-RAYS
The most important place for the digestive system is undoubtedly the teeth. They make the greatest contribution to the digestion of food. Although they look hard from the outside, it is natural that there are some problems in the layers. These problems are manifested as sensitive teeth, ache, pain, inflammation and caries. In some cases, inflammation may even result in the death of a tooth. Teeth need to be treated to be healthy. All of these are the fine details that are manifested with an examination. In order to detect such cases, an X-ray is required for teeth. The word periapical means the area around the root end.
A periapical x-ray is an image of the teeth, jaw bones, gingival level that is obtained with the aid of an X-ray. There are two types of dental x-rays. The first one is a panoramic x-ray, where the entire mouth and teeth are visible, and the other is a periapical x-ray, where the individual teeth are viewed. Dental X-rays are usually requested before the start of treatment in order to make a better diagnosis and to be sure during the treatment stages. It is also desirable for control purposes after treatment. Periapical X-rays should not be taken during pregnancy. Although the baby seems unlikely to suffer harm, it should not be done during pregnancy even if a lead gown is worn.
PHOSPHORUS PLATE DEVICE
The x-ray images transferred onto the phosphorous plaques placed in the patient’s mouth are scanned by the scanner at high speed according to the size of the phosphorous plaque. The resulting digital intraoral images are transferred to the computer at very high resolution. Digital phosphorous plates are flexible, thin and cordless. Since the phosphorous plate system is flexible, it can be placed at desired angles in the intraoral area. Phosphorous plaque provides convenient and precise images. X-ray images on the phosphorous plates can be deleted.
Thanks to its automatic wiping feature, it is possible to use phosphorus plates for long periods. In radiological examinations with phosphorus plates, unlike sensors, no extra effort is required during image acquisition such as cables and electricity. After images are taken, the plates are moved to a machine that resembles a processor. Depending on the system, the plates are either inserted into a slot or placed on a drum and then the machine is started. Once the images have been acquired, it is possible to mount the images by clicking and dragging them to the appropriate positions in the template. Although this process is significantly slower than the snapshots of the sensors, it is still faster than the film.
